Lush green damp days.
Skies drown in heavy gray.
Mornings limp with moisture;
Middays laze lassitude;
Evenings clasp the sweaty sighs
of a broken heart.
Cicadas buzz sorrow;
Frogs croak woe;
Trapped beneath oppressive heat
My tune fades into mist.
Days beg for rain,
Nights pray for wind,
I look only for release
Caught in a swirling sea of grief.
